The I Spy Classic series consists of the original I Spy books. The original book, I Spy A Book of Picture Riddles, was published in 1992. Starting with the second book, I Spy Christmas, each book had a 'theme' that all of the pictures followed, often times telling a chronological journey as the reader progressed through the book. The classic initially ended with I Spy Treasure Hunt, published in 1999. Walter Wick did the photography and Jean Marzollo did the riddles.
On August 25th of 2024, Wick announced a new book in the series, I Spy Love. The riddles are now done by Dan and Dave Marzollo.
