The I Spy Challenger series consists of five books. The first book, I Spy Super Challenger, was published in 1997. The series was designed for people who had read the books in the I Spy Classic series and wanted an extra challenge. All of the pictures in the challenger books are from books in the I Spy Classic series, but the riddles have been changed to be more difficult. The challenger series ended with the publication of I Spy Ultimate Challenger in 2003.
